Traffic Committee

What is the Traffic Committee?

The traffic committee’s authority includes initiation and assistance in the preparation and review of traffic studies; responding to complaints regarding traffic matters; and recommendations to the City Council and to other city officials on ways and means for improving traffic conditions and enforcement of regulations.  The Traffic Committee consists of three members along with staff support from various city departments, (i.e., Police Department, Fire Department & Public Works Department).  The Committee reviews all residential traffic calming plans from various neighborhoods that city staff is currently working with.  Upon the Committee's review of neighborhood RTCP's they vote on the neighborhood RTCP plan, which requires a majority vote to accept or reject the plan.
