The City of West Sacramento has implemented an inclusionary housing program to increase the amount of affordable housing in the City and to promote the development of mixed-income communities. The inclusionary housing program creates homeownership opportunities for low and moderate-income households by requiring developers to provide affordable homes in each new residential project.
- First Time Homebuyer Program - NOT CURRENTLY MAKING DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE LOANS DUE TO LACK OF FUNDING
The City of West Sacramento's First Time Homebuyer (definition) Assistance Program allows qualified homebuyers to receive up to $100,000 or 35% of the purchase price of a home (whichever is less) towards the purchase of a home located in West Sacramento in the form of a deferred second loan.
The City’s Residential Rehabilitation Program provides low-income homeowners assistance in the form of low-interest loans. The program is designed to help preserve the existing housing stock, eliminate existing or potential eyesores in neighborhoods, assist property owners in eliminating all property code violations, and encourage property owners to take pride and responsibility for the maintenance of their home.
