The mission of the Human Resources Department is to assist all city departments in the hiring and development of employees in order to provide quality municipal services to residents and business owners in West Sacramento.
Human Resources and Labor Relations is one of the smaller departments in the city (5 full-time employees) but works with all city departments and divisions, and in virtually every aspect of the employment relationship including recruitment, retention, classification and compensation, policies, procedures, training and development, benefits administration, wellness, risk management, workers’ compensation, and labor relations.
