All class times for Summer 2012 can be found in the summer playbook in March 2012. Adult Water Polo Want to learn how to play water polo or looking for a group to play matches with? Join us for Water Polo at the Recreation Center! Adults: ages 13+ Fee: a valid Recreation Center Pass Click here for this month's schedule! Refund Policy! A credit or refund will be given if the department cancels the program or for medical reasons that can be verified by a medical note from your family physician. If you wish to drop or transfer to another session, call us at least five (5) full business days before the program start date for a refund or credit. No refunds shall be issued for non – attendance, swim passes, or materials fees. All refund requests received within five (5) business days must be approved or denied by the City of West Sacramento Parks and Recreation Department. All refund checks will be processed through the Finance Department and mailed to you within 4 – 6 weeks. Parks and Recreation management can review refund requests on a case by case basis should special circumstances arise. | | Lifeguard Training Class Interested in becoming a lifeguard? West Sacramento Parks & Recreation is offering a Lifeguard Training Class. Class includes following certifications: Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Title 22. Participants must attend all classes to pass. Prerequisite: Must be 15 years old prior to first class. Must be able to swim 300 yards and perform front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke. Date: Monday April 2 - Friday April 6, 2012 9am-5pm daily Fee: $175 includes class material, certifications, and pocket mask Location: West Sacramento Recreation Center Registration begins February 1, 2012. Lap Swim Please check the calendar for daily hours. The competition pool is open 7 days a week for drop in lap swim during posted hours only. Valid Recreation Center pass is required. 2011 Recreation Swim is closed for the season! The Family Leisure Pool and Slides at the West Sacramento Recreation Center are now closed for the summer season! Entrance Fee: valid Recreation Center pass for all members of your family including children. Day Passes are $4.50 for students and $6.00 for adults. Children 7 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult and all youth 17 and under must have a signed waiver from a parent or guardian. Ice Chests/Coolers are not allowed in the facility and ALL life jackets must be US Coast Guard approved. See you at the pool! Adult Swim Fitness Group/Masters Swim The Adult Swim Fitness group is offered for individuals 13+. In this group, you will work with a swim coach that will provide workouts through the week, provide instruction and stroke technique. All levels are welcome. Adult Water Aerobics The West Sacramento Recreation Center offers a variety of adult water aerobics classes throughout the week in the summer months. When completed successfully, Junior Guards are required to volunteer 20 hours of service. Our Summer 2011 class has concluded. Click here for more information.
