Getting the front of your house in shape could mean the opportunity to get yourself in shape!
The City of West Sacramento will be accepting entries beginning May 1, 2011 for the annual Best on the Block program and is open to both Do-It-Yourselfers and the Paid-to-Have-It-Doners (not good English, but you know what we mean). Best on the Block is a program that recognizes and rewards the curbside beautification efforts of West Sacramento home and small business owners who made exterior improvements to the front of their property during 2011. If the improvement is visible from the street and has a positive impact on the neighborhood, it's eligible to be submitted for Best on the Block. The contest is open to qualifying West Sacramento homes (does not have to be owner-occupied) and small businesses. 1st place in each division will receive a one-year Recreation Center pass!
