Garden Neighborhood Park

Location of project:
Garden Street in the Bridge District, off of South River Road.

Estimated Start Date: Summer 2011

Estimated Completion Date: Late 2011

Brief description of project:

A new neighborhood park within the initial phase of Bridge District, Garden Park is located in the core of the urban residential area at the intersection of Central and Garden Streets.  The park will be built in conjunction with the infrastructure and streets that are currently in construction.  Park design is nearly complete and construction will occur in 2011.  The park is expected to be open in early 2012.

Features of this 0.6 acre urban neighborhood park include plentiful shade trees, raised garden planting beds with edible and flowering plants, sierra granite seating walls, and a 16 foot long community table under a canopy of four ancient olive trees.  A public art feature will also be incorporated in the park.
