The City's Refuse & Recycling Program, housed in the Environmental Services Division, Department of Public Works, includes residential curbside (newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper, plastic, glass, metals, motor oil, oil filters and yard waste), multi-family (newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper, plastic, glass, and metals) commercial (newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper, plastic, glass, and metals) and backyard composting. The Division also sponsors a bulky waste drop-off event twice a year (May and September). | |  Save the Date!  The next bulky waste drop-off event is scheduled for May 16-19, 2012. During the drop-off event, West Sacramento residents may bring their discarded bulky waste items for free disposal/recycling. Bulky waste is defined as any item too large to fit in a curbside cart. No household garbage is accepted at this program. The program flyer will be included in the April utility bill and is posted here . |
