Final - 408 Permission Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report

The Final Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) for the West Sacramento Levee Improvements Program (WSLIP) CHP Academy and The Rivers Early Implementation Projects (EIP) for 408 Permission has been completed. The Final EIS/EIR is a revision of the Draft EIS/EIR circulated for public review in May 2010, and is only for project-level coverage of the two EIPs. The purpose of the WSLIP is to achieve a minimum of 200-year flood protection for the city by improving the levees protecting West Sacramento. The two EIPs would construct improvements towards meeting that goal, along with compatible recreation improvements.

The West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency Board certified the Final EIS/EIR and adopted the EIPs when it met at 10:30 a.m., on March 10, 2011 at the Reclamation District 900 office, 1420 Merkley Avenue, West Sacramento.

The Final EIS/EIR is available in electronic form at www.spk.usace.army.mil and at www.cityofwestsacramento.org/city/flood. Printed copies of the Final EIS/EIR are available for public review at the West Sacramento Civic Center (1110 West Capitol Avenue, Second Floor, West Sacramento, CA  95691), the Sacramento Public Library (828 I Street, Sacramento, CA  95814), the Yolo County Library (1212 Merkley Avenue, West Sacramento, CA  95691), and the Solano County Library (1150 Kentucky Street, Fairfield, CA  94533).
