How can I obtain a report of an incident I was involved in? |

Reports of fire incidents are available to the public by request. Incidents involving medical aid may only be obtained by the patient, a legal representative of the patient with a signed patient release, or by subpoena of the court. There is a $5.00 fee per report. Please notify the Fire Department in advance if you wish to obtain a copy. Fire Department incident reports may not be duplicated under any circumstances. |

How will I know if I have an inspection coming up? Do I need to call to schedule one? |

You will be sent a letter about one month before an inspection by a Fire Company or Fire Inspector is due. If the inspection is a life safety inspection by a Fire Company, you will be called to set up a time for the inspection. If the inspection is a fire permit inspection, the letter you receive will tell you when your permits expire and how much you need to sent in to renew your permits. If you want the fire inspector to make an appointment for your permit inspection, indicate that you want an appointment set up on the letter you send back with you renewal fees. If you do not want appointment, the fire inspector will visit you facility within several days of the permit expiration date |
