Housing Advisory Commission

Mission Statement
To advise the City Council on housing matters and enhance the quality of life throughout the City by addressing the need for new affordable housing opportunities and the renovation of aging dwellings with the elimination of blight as a priority. The Commission’s focus is to facilitate community involvement to create and preserve attractive, friendly and safe neighborhoods that meet diverse lifestyle needs.


Commission Information
The Housing Advisory Commission (HAC) consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council to advise the Director of Housing and Community Investment, the City Council and staff on matters pertaining to housing policies.

The HAC holds regular meetings the second Monday of every other month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City of West Sacramento, 1110 West Capitol Ave., West Sacramento, CA 95691. Meetings are open to the public and televised on the local cable access channel.

IF YOU NEED SPECIAL ASSISTANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN HAC MEETINGS, PLEASE CONTACT THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT AT 617-4555. NOTIFICATION AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO HAC MEETINGS WILL ASSIST STAFF IN ASSURING THAT REASONABLE ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE TO PROVIDE ACCESSIBILITY TO HAC MEETINGS. ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT HAC MEETINGS.
