What is Best on the Block?
Imagine . . . winning a cash prize of up to $1,000 for improving your curb appeal! It’s possible with the 2008 Best on the Block program – West Sacramento’s very own home and business curb-side improvement program - now in its 5th year.
We begin accepting entries in April 1st from residents and business owners who have or will be making exterior improvements to the front of their property. If the improvement is visible from the street and has a positive impact on the neighborhood, it’s eligible to be selected as a Best on the Block winner. Already have plans to make those improvements? Then why not enter? It’s free and you could win some cash or cool prizes and receive some much deserved recognition for your efforts!
We all want to live in beautiful neighborhoods and have a community with attractive business fronts. The goal of Best on the Block is to encourage residents and business owners to take pride in their neighborhoods and communities by making their home of business front the Best on the Block!
Here’s How It Works
- Submit your completed entry form between April 1st and November 1st, 2008, with a “before” picture and brief description of the project.
- The “after” photo is due by November 1st, but does not need to be submitted with the entry form.
