Holiday Tree Lighting

Hosted by the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, the tradition continues of the annual tree lighting.  The 2008 event will take place on Friday, December 5th.  The festivities began at 6 pm in front of the Civic Center with a program of music and carols by local community groups and holiday refreshments. The event also marked the first appearance of the season for jolly old Santa, who posed for family photos. For information about the tree lighting, please call the Chamber of Commerce at 371-7042.  To provide for pedestrian safety, a section of West Capitol Avenue in front of the Civic Center will be temporarily closed to vehicles during the event. Motorists may want to use Merkley Avenue as an east-west alternative to West Capitol Avenue.

Jingle Bell Bash III
