Holiday Tree Lighting
Hosted by the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, the tradition continues of the annual tree lighting. The 2007 event took place on Friday, December 7th. The festivities began at 6 pm in front of the Civic Center with a program of music and carols by local community groups and holiday refreshments. The event also marked the first appearance of the season for jolly old Santa, who posed for family photos. For information about the 2008 tree lighting, please call the Chamber of Commerce at 371-7042. To provide for pedestrian safety, a section of West Capitol Avenue in front of the Civic Center will be temporarily closed to vehicles during the event. Motorists may want to use Merkley Avenue as an east-west alternative to West Capitol Avenue.
Jingle Bell Bash III
