The City is currently upgrading and modifying its sewage pump stations and plans to decommission its wastewater treatment plant in late 2007 when the system is connected to the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) regional plant. The city will continue to operate the sewer collection and pumping system with a total of 13 sewer lift stations pumping wastewater to the regional plant, via the Lower Northwest Interceptor Line.
