1999, the number reached 83,830, an increase of 25,936, or 44.8 percent. Approximately half of the growth in the county occurred West
Sacramento, which had a net gain of 14,375.
The unicorporated area had a net gain of 4,839, Woodland increased by
4,433, Davis added 2,001, and Winters added 288.
The future of West Sacramento business appears bright with over half of
the projected growth inYolo county to occur in West Sacramento, which is
forecast to add 40,281 jobs by 2022, an increase of 139.3 percent.
