Looking Forward to West Sacramento’s New Civic Center
Construction is underway for building a new Civic Center, bounded by West Capitol and Merkley Avenues, across the street from City Hall. This area will soon be home to a satellite campus of Los Rios Community College, a county library, and the city’s 20,000 square foot Community Center (pictured). During construction, please be safe and patient in response to roadside controls in the area—and don’t forget to support restaurants and businesses open along Merkley and West Capitol Avenues. The completion of the Civic Center by 2010 will be an exciting addition to West Sacramento’s central business district.(click here) for more about the Civic Center.
