GIS is a computer technology that combines geographic data and other types of information to generate maps and reports. Below is a brief description of the tools and action scenarios that will hopefully assist in providing fast, timely, and responsive use of this technology.

	Select Tool Selects map features and presents sidebar report if available.			Deselect Clears selected features and returns action menu to the Legend.
	Pan North Pans the map to the North.			Pan East Pans the map to the East.
	Pan South Pans the map to the South.			Pan West Pans the map to the West.
	Zoom In Puts the map into "Zoom In" mode. With the mouse, click on the map and drag a window surrounding the object of interest.			Zoom Out Puts the map into "Zoom Out" mode. Click and drag a window and the map will zoom back out.
	Zoom All Zooms map to full extent. Puts map back to initial zoom state.			Zoom Previous Zooms map to previous zoom scale.
	Pan Tool The Pan Tool allows the user to interactively move the map in any direction without changing the map scale. Click on the Pan Tool to select it, the cursor will change to cross-arrows. Click, drag, and release the mouse on the Map Display to "drag" the map in the direction you wish to pan. The Map Display will redraw, centered at the new location.
