GIS & Maps
The City's GIS program is centered in the Information Technology Division of the City Manager's Office. Our key goals are to maintain and provide high-quality spatial data to City Departments and the public, offer mapping services to citizens through our on-line mapping applications, and provide data to venders for citywide projects. The City of West Sacramento uses GIS and computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software to distribute and create data. CADD is used to generate and maintain data layers. For example, parcels, streets, and fire hydrant locations. GIS is used to combine these data layers with database information to create intelligent maps. This site is designed to allow the user to explore maps and information about the City of West Sacramento. Users will be able to locate information regarding parcels, zoning, streets, property profiles, crime statistics, fire station locations, city hall, schools, and parks. Much of the data is available for download through the "GIS Downloads" portion of this site. Please abide by the disclaimers that apply to the different types of data made available. Data found throughout this site will be updated frequently. See the GIS Downloads section of this site for more information pertaining to current data sets.
