Application Period for Chief's Advisory Board Has Been Extended


West Sacramento Police Chief Dan Drummond is seeking West Sacramento residents and business operators who are interested in applying for the Chief's Advisory Board.
The application deadline has been extended to Friday, June 12, 2009.
The Board will meet with Chief Drummond on a regularly scheduled basis to facilitate communication between the community and the Police Department and act as a sounding board on issues of mutual interest.
Board members will be required to attend approximately 30 hours of orientation and training which will include a ride-along and tours of different units within the Police Department.
Chief Drummond sees the Board as an important step in building a better working relationship with the community and strengthening the bond of trust. The Chief is seeking positive-minded people who are willing to dedicate the time and effort to serve as community representatives in this role.
Applicants must complete an application package and pass a background check. Applications must be turned into the Police Department by Friday, June 12, 2009.
