More than 100 people showed up at the West Sacramento Community Center Friday, May 5th for the Senior Resource Fair. Attendees were treated to free blood pressure check ups, tours of the Community Center, and other activities including fraud prevention tips from the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office. Special thanks to Bryte and Broderick Community Action Network and West Sacramento Parks and Recreation.
As part of West Sacramento’s Age Friendly Action Plan, students were paired with seniors this summer to teach essential computer and smart phone skills at the Arthur F. Turner Community Library. The classes allowed seniors to increase connectivity with the community and advance their intergenerational scope.
