July is Parks Make Life Better Month!
What We Do
West Sacramento Parks & Recreation consists of four separate functions: a Parks Division, Recreation Division, Early Learning Services, and our Tree Program. The Parks Department provides recreation and leisure opportunities with its park facilities and recreation programming. These programs are designed to help local residents improve their overall health and quality of life.
Thank you to our Parks Operations Crew!
We’d like to take a moment to highlight hard work of the amazing folks that work West Sacramento Parks and Trails. These are some of the faces behind the hard work that goes into maintaining and beautifying a wonderful West Sacramento! Thank you to all of our hardworking team in Parks Operations.

FREE COVID-19 Testing at Elica Health Center
- Date: 08/06/2020 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Location: Elica Health Center
1276 Halyard Drive
West Sacramento, California 95691
- Introduction: Elica Health Center will be offering free COVID-19 testing to residents
In partnership with Elica Health Centers, Yolo County Public Health is offering free Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing for residents from August 3 – 8 and August 10 - 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (closed from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.) at the Elica Health Center, located at 1276 Halyard Drive in West Sacramento.
Participants must be residents of Yolo County and will need to bring proof in the form of a document displaying their name and address, such as a driver’s license, ID card, utility bill, or rental agreement. This testing location is first come, first served until tests run out. This location is free for all ages who have no insurance and residents with active Medi-Cal accounts can also be tested at this site with no out of pocket cost. Registration is recommended in order to speed up the process but is not required and does not guarantee a test. When residents register online, they will not be able to select a time slot and will not receive a confirmation of receipt. Register at: https://www.avellinocoronatest.com/patient.
This is not antibody testing; this is to test if individuals currently have COVID-19. Residents must wear a face covering and practice social distancing. This location is not a drive-thru so residents will need to park their car and walk a short distance to the tent, however residents with handicap placards may be able to park in designated handicap parking spots and be tested from their vehicle. An outdoor medical tent will be set up in the lot at Elica Health Center.
Test results typically come back within a week of receipt from the lab. There may be some delays in getting testing results due to high demand and backlog statewide. For more information about Elica Health Centers visit: https://www.elicahealth.org/. Residents can call Yolo 2-1-1 for resource information.
