Building on the success of the 2024 Sacramento Avenue Complete Street Plan, which envisioned safer and more comfortable options for walking, biking, rolling, and driving, and more vibrant, connected neighborhoods, the City of West Sacramento is taking the next step in advancing the vision!
With funding from SACOG’S Green Means Go program, the Sacramento Avenue Corridor Infill & Infrastructure Plan will identify infrastructure upgrades and planning recommendations to support thoughtful development and make streets safer and more accessible for everyone.
With the goal to facilitate sustainable growth and future investment along Sacramento Avenue and specific nodes of activity along the corridor, the Plan will focus on identifying:
- Necessary infrastructure upgrades
- Ways to reduce barriers to new development
- Approach to updating land use policies and zoning
- Expanded travel options for safety and accessibility for all users
