Senior Resource Fair
Friday, May 8, 2026 10am -12:30pm at the Community Center

This free event connects older adults, caregivers, and families with helpful information, services, and local support. Whether you’re a senior, caring for an aging loved one, or planning ahead for the future, all are welcome.  Learn more on the City Calendar.

Tennis Court Renovation Notice

The tennis courts will be temporarily closed from June 6 through August 3 as the Washington Unified School District and the City of West Sacramento Recreation Center partner on a renovation project.

Planned improvements include court surface repairs and general facility upgrades designed to enhance safety and provide higher-quality playing conditions for our tennis community.

Before construction begins, the community is invited to join us on Sunday, May 17 for Demolition Doubles, a special event bringing players together to enjoy the courts one last time before renovations begin. Join us! RSVP online.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this temporary closure and look forward to welcoming players back to improved courts later this summer.

What We Do

West Sacramento Parks & Recreation consists of four separate functions: a Parks Division, Recreation Division, Early Learning Services, and our Tree Program. The Parks Department provides recreation and leisure opportunities with its park facilities and recreation programming. These programs are designed to help local residents improve their overall health and quality of life.
