Recreation Center Tennis Court Renovation Notice

The tennis courts will be temporarily closed from June 6 through August 3 as the Washington Unified School District and the City of West Sacramento Recreation Center partner on a renovation project.

Planned improvements include court surface repairs and general facility upgrades designed to enhance safety and provide higher-quality playing conditions for our tennis community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this temporary closure and look forward to welcoming players back to improved courts later this summer.

Recreation Swim Opens Saturday, June 6

Recreation Swim returns to the Recreation Center on Saturday, June 6! Come enjoy the family leisure pool, splash features, current channel, waterslides, diving boards, and more.

Before You Visit

All guests under 18 must have a parent/guardian make an online reservation in advance. This allows families to complete the required waiver and payment before arriving at the pool.

Residents can create their household account at rec.us/west-sacramento

Swimmers must pass the 25-yard swim test to swim in deep water and use the diving boards. Only Coast Guard-approved life jackets are permitted. A limited number of life jackets are available for checkout.

Westacre Park Update

Westacre Park is almost ready to welcome the community back. Over the past several months, the project has transformed from a construction site into a vibrant community destination featuring a new skate park, playground, splash pad, pickleball courts, climbing wall, sports fields, walking paths, and other recreation amenities.
Construction is now in the final stretch, with crews completing punch list items, final inspections, system testing, landscaping, and site cleanup. With these finishing touches in the works, we’re anticipating a ribbon cutting and full public opening in mid-July. Exact dates and details will be shared on here on the City website and the City Calendar once finalized.
