This program was created to help reduce the air pollution that comes from wood smoke, which contains fine particulate matter (PM2.5), black carbon, toxic air contaminates and greenhouse gas emissions. During winter months, weather conditions and elevated uses of fireplaces and wood stoves raises the levels of fine particulate matter in the air and traps wood smoke closer to the ground and the air people breathe.

For more information about this program or to apply, call (530) 757-3650, email or visit the District’s website. Connect with the District on Facebook or Twitter.
