West Sac Goats Are Back!

Post Date:03/14/2019 1:28 PM

More than 400 goats are now at the Clarksburg Branch Line Trail for the next few days chomping down the weeds to reduce fire danger. The adorable herd will be in West Sacramento through May hitting hard to reach high growth locations like the banks of the Barge Canal, Clarksburg Branch Line Trail, along the river in front of the Barn, near Tower Bridge, and the Broderick Boat Ramp. Come on out...they will make you smile!

About

West Sacramento has hundreds of acres of open space along the banks of the Sacramento River and locations along trails and fields. Traditional mowers are not able to get to all the overgrown spots due to uneven terrain, rocks and trees. The City of West Sacramento has been renting the environmentally friendly goats from Blue Tent Farms in Red Bluff since 2014.
