Public Meeting for Yolo 80 Corridor Improvement Project, Feb. 27
Caltrans is hosting an informational meeting at West Sacramento City Hall on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m where the public can provide comments about the Yolo 80 Corridor Improvement project. Key improvements to Interstate 80 from Kidwell Road just west of Davis, through West Sacramento to West El Camino Avenue, including U.S. Highway 50 to the Interstate 5 Interchange in Sacramento are proposed. Community members can review the overall project and Caltrans staff will be available to answer questions. Since this project is still in its early stages, all feedback received will help shape the development and design of the different improvements proposed for I-80.
Caltrans is planning these improvements in response to increased travel along I-80 that has created severe traffic congestion and impaired mobility along the route. The project’s primary goals are to improve traffic flow, increase safety, improve travel time reliability and reduce vehicle emissions.
