Parking Regulations Remain in Effect During Shelter In Place Order
The City continues to enforce safety violations, including unlawful parking in disabled spaces, sidewalks, and fire hydrants. There are no street cleaning/sweeping parking regulations in the City that would require drivers to move their vehicles, with the exception of a few limited spaces in the Southport area that are necessary for residential garbage pickup. The City will not be enforcing vehicle registration violations through at least May 15 as some residents may not be able to get their vehicle registrations renewed in time.
In The Bridge and Washington Districts, parking continues to operate normally as well, including paid parking areas. The City continues to offer free parking for the first two hours at the City's 5th & Bridge Lot and on Riverfront Street from Mill to Bridge Streets. The Barn and Sutter Health Park remain closed at this time. Residents will continue to have access to the City's parking permits online for parking on the street and at the City's parking lots.
City staff is monitoring events closely and stands ready to quickly adjust if needed.
