City of West Sacramento

The City held a groundbreaking Friday, June 10  for the Riverfront Street Extension and 5th Street Widening project in the Bridge District. Mayor Martha Guerrero and City Manager Aaron Laurel spoke, detailing the project highlights and history while thanking City staff and project partners Wood Rodgers, Ghirardelli Associates, Teichert Construction, Caltrans, and the Sacramento Area Council of Governments.

Features include:

· 2-lane protected bike lanes and widening on 5th street from 15th to Mill Street

· Extension of Riverfront Street from Mill Street to the Pioneer Bridge for future development

· Water, sewer, slighting, and striping improvements
