The city is located adjacent to downtown Sacramento, within a 15 minute drive to both Sacramento International and Sacramento Executive airports, and sits at the hub of a multi-modal surface transportation network of interstate highways and rail allowing access to major metro areas in the Western U.S. Additionally, the Port of West Sacramento offers a quick and easy route to the Pacific Ocean through the San Francisco Bay, allowing international access to Pacific Rim markets.

The city of West Sacramento is a paradise for those seeking outdoor recreation with outdoor walking and bike trails, the Sacramento River, and several outdoor events and farmers markets. If a day trip is in order, the Sacramento Region lies within a short drive of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Napa Valley and San Francisco Bay Area.
