Website Accessibility Statement
We're working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that still need improvement. The following information explains what we're doing to make that happen.
1.2.5: Audio Description (Prerecorded)
We are working on a process to add audio descriptions for all video content. For meetings, this entails embedding captions using WebVTT, SRT, or DFXP.
1.2.3: Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded)
We are working on a process to add audio descriptions for video content. This entails embedding captions using WebVTT, SRT, or DFXP.
1.1.1: Non-text Content
Staff have been trained on implementing alternative text for all 'non-text' content, such as images and graphics. Each department is responsible for ensuring the alternative text is comprehensive and includes all pertinent information.
Adobe Acrobat PDF Files
The City of West Sacramento has a large number Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) on the website. In order to improve the viewing of these files, download the latest free version of Adobe Reader. We are working on a process to ensure all PDFs are accessible.
