Home MenuPay Equity Dashboard
The City of West Sacramento is committed to transparency and fair, equitable compensation practices. To support this commitment, the Pay Equity Dashboard provides a high-level view of compensation data that can be used to evaluate the City’s gender pay gap across multiple workforce characteristics.
The dashboard allows users to review average compensation by gender within the following categories:
-
Bargaining Unit / Employee Group
-
Occupation
-
Ethnicity
-
CalPERS Tier
-
Age Group
-
Years of Service
For each selected category, the gender pay gap is calculated by comparing the average pay of female employees to the average pay of male employees within the same grouping. This approach helps ensure comparisons are made among similarly situated employees and provides context for understanding pay differences.
The data displayed reflects a snapshot in time and is based on regular (non-temporary) City employees as of January 2026. The information is intended to promote transparency and inform ongoing evaluation of compensation practices; it should not be interpreted as a determination of individual pay equity or compliance with equal pay laws.
The City will continue to review compensation data as part of its broader efforts to support fair and equitable pay across the organization.
