West Sacramento Federal Project - DRAFT Nonfederal Cost-Sharing Report

The West Sacramento Federal Project was authorized in the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act in 2016 at an estimated cost of $1.191 billion.  The West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (WSAFCA) and our co-non-federal partner, the State of California, completed construction of the Southport Levee Improvement Project, the first component of the Federal Project and are currently leading design of the next component, the Yolo Bypass East Levee Project.  Due primarily to the advance work by WSAFCA and the State, and the corresponding reduction in the Federal Project schedule, the Federal Project cost was revised to $1.024 billion. The Federal Project is to be cost-shared 65% federal, 35% non-federal – or roughly $665 million federal, $358 million non-federal.  The non-federal portion is further cost-shared between the State and WSAFCA.  To that end, and in accordance with State Water Code, WSAFCA has prepared a Draft Nonfederal Cost-Sharing Report (Report).  The Report is available for a 45-day public comment period, which opens March 2, 2020 and closes April 16, 2020.  Those interested in submitting comments, can submit in writing to:
