Club West is an after-school teen program for students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade and has been providing programming in West Sacramento since 1991. Throughout the year Club West sponsors daily after school programs, dances, fun nights, Summer Teen Camp, daily snack bar, game room, tournaments, extended hours on minimum days, Computer Lab for homework, and more.

Club West Teen Center Hours

Monday through Friday - 2:30pm - 6:00pm (1:30pm - 6:00pm on Minimum Days).
Club West is closed on all City and school holidays.

    Summer Teen Camp information

     

    Teen Heroes

    Teen Heroes is a summer mentoring program that provides participants (ages 14-16) with hands on job experience while volunteering for Parks & Recreation.

    Teen Heroes is sponsored by the City of West Sacramento Parks & Recreation Department and is provided free of charge to eligible West Sacramento residents. Being a Teen Hero requires time and dedication.  Each volunteer is depended upon as part of the team.  Teen heroes are required to show up to their site on time daily and attend all mandatory meetings, events, and trainings. 

    Teen Heroes will assist staff with program duties which include set up/cleanup of daily activities and events, encouraging participation, leading crafts and activities, and attending and assisting staff with special events. Teen Hero volunteers assist at K.I.D.S. Camp, Camp Lakeside, Sports Camp, KidZone/Club West Summer Camp, and Club West Teen Camp.

    Eligible candidates must provide proof of their completion of hepatitis B vaccination series. Also, candidates will be required to take part in fingerprinting, and background checks that are provided by the City of West Sacramento, Parks & Recreation Department.
