KidZone/Club West is a partnership between Washington Unified School District (WUSD) and the City to provide quality, enriching, after-school services to the youth of West Sacramento funded under Proposition 49. The After School Education & Safety (ASES) Grant provides funds for KidZone & Club West which operates throughout the school-year providing academic, enrichment, and recreation activities which include provision of a daily suppler and snack, disguised learning activities, physical activity, and arts & crafts. In partnership with the WUSD, your child will enjoy a safe and positive environment where they can laugh, sing, play and make new friends! Please contact (916) 617-4620 for more information.

Age: KidZone, Kindergarten (afternoon or extended day only) - 5th grade & Club West, 6th-8th grade
Day(s): Monday- Friday
Date(s): Follows school year calendar
Time: School dismissal to 6:00pm
Fee: FREE, applications are approved based on available space.


Registration (New Process) 

It is required by the A.S.E.S. grant that all participants must register each year to give every student a chance to participate. We will enroll every grade level based on a lottery system. Everyone (including current 2019/2020 participants) interested in enrolling for the 2020/2021 school year will be included in a lottery for placement in program, all candidates not selected in the lottery will be placed on the waitlist. Priority will be given to foster students, homeless students and special request from county services. Registration will take place in the spring of 2020.

Due to the nature of our program positions are filled based on grade level availability and not necessarily first come-first serve, we reserve the right to handle special cases accordingly. Once you are signed up for the waiting list you will stay on the waiting list the entire year or until your student is accepted into the program.

Kindergartners - Incoming kindergartners may be placed on the waiting list at each school’s kinder registration event, dates- TBD by each school. We will not begin accepting wait list additions until WUSD’s kinder registration has taken place.
