This Project Is Complete.

Overview

The City of West Sacramento is currently requesting proposals from Traffic Engineering Firms currently on call from the City for collection of average daily traffic (ADT) and turn movement counts (TMC) for select roadway segments and intersections locations throughout the City.

Background Information

The City of West Sacramento (City) semi-annually procures consultant services to collect citywide traffic data on arterials and collectors throughout the City. Current traffic volume and turn movement data is outdated. The City aims to collect updated data on the existing traffic conditions of select roadway segments and intersections, as listed in the scope of work below. The 2017 Citywide Traffic Data Collection will update the West Sacramento ADT Map and turn movement counts for key intersections. ADT and TMC data is used broadly by the City to inform or support transportation planning, project development review, traffic impact studies, and grant application processes.

Timeline

Barring any unforeseen delays, all traffic count data collection will begin on Monday, February 13th and be completed prior to or on Thursday, March 16th in order to avoid the collection of abnormal data (as might be caused by scheduled holidays of local schools (UC Davis, CSUS, and WUSD)

Traffic Impact

Aside from slight traffic interruption during installation of traffic counters (during non-peak usage hours), this data collection will not affect the regular flow of traffic.
