West Sacramento On-Demand: Via Rideshare

Get anywhere in West Sacramento for one affordable, flat fare!

Have you noticed some shiny new vans in town? Meet West Sacramento On-Demand, the City's new public transportation service! This innovative rideshare program is offered by the City through a unique partnership with private rideshare company, Via.

How do I catch a ride with West Sacramento On-Demand?

West Sacramento On-Demand makes getting around easy and affordable to get where you need to go. First, create an account by downloading the Via Rideshare App on any compatible Smartphone or Tablet, or contact the City (see FAQs) for assistance. Once you account is created,  simply book a ride using the Smartphone App or by calling over the phone. You'll receive an estimated time of arrival and may be asked to walk a short distance (200-500 feet) to meet your ride. In minutes, a Mercedes Benz Via van will pick you up and get you to your destination.

And by sharing your ride with others heading in the same direction, you save money and avoid the hassle of traffic and parking- without sacrificing convenience! Standard fares are just $3.50 one-way, or $1.75 for Seniors & Disabled Riders who apply for and receive a discount.

Download the free Via App today! Available for both Android and iPhone
